The Middle Carry Strap (or Hanger) sits over the horse's back. It is generally buckled to the uptugs on the rear of the foreleg hopples, but can also be used on the front uptugs of the rear hopples, depending on the trainer's preferred configuration.
This model is more popular in Australia it is slightly shorter than the US Style Middle Carry Strap and loops together at the centre in a different way. The Crupper backstrap may be fed through the centre loop to hold the carry strap in place.
This model is used in the Sydney Style Carry Strap Sets
