Stainless Steel. Sometimes referred to as a "half cheek" snaffle, this model is popular in harness racing.
The spoons hang below the mouthpiece to prevent the bit being pulled through the horse's mouth and their position means that they are less likely to get caught up in the mouth or reins.
This bit is similar to the standard mouth joined half spoon, but with the addition of a leather covering on the mouthpiece and behind the rings, making this a softer alternative for young horses, or horses with sensitive mouths.
