Under FEI rules for competition a horse with a ringworm infection must not enter a racecourse or be presented for competition.
For the control of ringworm (Microsporum spp and Trichophyton spp) and other forms of dermatomycosis in horses
Dosage & Administration
Dilute 1 part Austrazole topical fungicide in 50 parts of lukewarm water (20mL of Austrazole make 1 Litre of solution).
Make up the quantity of was needed to treat the animal immediately. Use any left over diluted wash to treat blankets, stalls, reins.
Remove crust from skin and hair with a brush which has been soaked in Austrazole mixed solution. At the first treatment, the animal should be sprayed or washed completely.
AUSTRAZOLE IS A LEAVE ON TREATMENT. DO NOT RINSE OFF.
Continue treatment at intervals of 3-4 days for 4 weeks.
